Mushroom Boy
Mushroom Boy is a game about this tiny mushroom who is trying to save the dying forest by finding healing flowers
This project was centered around the concepting phase which meant quick and fast iterations for the game.

Jump mechanic
One of my main contributions would be the jump. We wanted to have a Bouncing Jump for our character. I made multiple iterations which mainly had to do with the pattern in which you would be allowed to jump.
Early prototype with infinitely increased jump height based on the previous jump
Another Prototype that would alternate between a low and a high jump
The final version which is a mix between alternating the jump but also increasing the jump height based on the last jump
Glide Mechanic
I focused on was the gilding mechanic. Our character is also capable of gliding around the world to move over big gaps. I again made three different prototypes. These prototypes have slightly different turning controls and have different ways of accelerating and deaccelerating. the final video is the prototype we continued and I polished out further
Weather Effects
We wanted to add some more difficulty to the game by adding different type of weather effects. The game included three different weather types.
Wind: Blows the player away periodically
Rain: Makes the surface slippery
Sun: will burn you if you are exposed to long
